She passed and when
her breath had gone we
ate and drank to her
life and
dreamt of her smiling face
and crying heart and
thought again of
good times shared when
first she left us.
She returned for but a breath and
then when hence we caught her
eye and realized she was in our lives
again, well, then…then it was like she had come to me, easy
as if in a dream
it seems
once more she had gone again but
this time
we mourned her passing not
rage replaced reasoned thought & understanding
within this din of sin and schisms split betwixt these twins
two souls parted by pain and passion
aching in rhythm
betrayed by the loss no eulogies were spoken
no elegies were sung
no hearts broken
our lady gone alone yet we remain.

I love snooping and finding these gems.
